Compare & Contrast
Formal: I went to The Broad museum and it was my first time going and i enjoyed it so much. The two photographs that are displayed above are Jeff Koons Tulips that are mirrored polished stainless steel with transparent colors and the other photograph is made by Robert Therrien called Under the Table which is made of wood, metal and enamel. These two pieces are very different because of the artistic construct and the colors that are used in one art piece and the simplicity of the other makes them both stand out even though they are so different. Under the Table is my favorite piece because its an object used everyday and its made to be able to see what its like to see the construct of the table from a different point of view. Conceptual: I love both pieces and both Koons and Therrien made their art pieces large and this is something love. They both made something small and used or viewed in ordinary life large and vibrant with so much meaning. When i saw these two pieces i immediately loved them because I'm a small person so artwork thats larger then life brings me joy. They have both become two incredible art pieces that everyone wants to take picture next to and display all over social media.
